Make free Twitch overlay templates for streaming in seconds using Deep Image
When streaming on Twitch, Youtube or any other platform, we compete with a tremendous amount of other streamers. So every little thing that will make you stand out from the crowd is a good thing.
When you start your streaming adventure, you rarely have any budget for that. So getting a graphic designer to prepare some visual identity for you is almost never an option. You can use some free overlays for Twitch, YouTube streams and others, but the problem with free overlays is that, there is many just bad ones, and the good ones are used by everyone. And we don't want to be everyone. What we need is to make a completely new overlay, that nobody in the world has!
How to make your own Twitch overlay in seconds?
First we will need some sort of a template so we can have established where the cam feed goes, where for example the screeshare will be, some important information etc. I used a simple image below as my base.
Just a few simple rectangles to mark the right areas.
Once we have this image, we can upload it to AI Image Generator.
Select "Just edges" and in the prompt write something describing the style of your overlay. And here you can be really creative. Worst case scenario, you will just have to reroll the last task to see if it gives out a better result. Your configuration should look more or less like the one below:
Once we are happy with all the settings, just click "Generate", wait a moment for the processing to be finished, and you can see and download your result immediately. And later use it in your Stream. Below you can see the example result from exactly the setup above:
If you want, you can easily generate multiple overlays, also for specific video game. In this case, let's assume that you will stream some Doom in the evening:
Maybe you will play some games with dinosaurs? Nothing easier. Custom, completely unique stream overlay can be prepared in literally 5 seconds:
If you notice any texts on the results, you can easily remove them using inpainting brush, by just selecting them and writing something like "clean background" or "remove text".
Looking for something that's not so loud, but still looks professional and classy? Try simple prompts like "brushed aluminum with copper details"
The possibilities are endless. And generating one image cost on average about 4 cents. It gives you lot's of customizability. This could enable you to have a custom overlay for every topic you are streaming about. It could really help your channel to stand out from others. And the effort is not that big. It is especially cost-effective method with results that are otherwise very hard to achieve.
To sum it up. You need to use some sort of a template with rectangles specifying your cam feed, main feed, chat, donators names etc. And then use AI Image Generator to reimagine this by the edges into something completely new based on your text prompt.
Have fun with it, and if you liked any of the images in this blog post, you can freely use them free of charge.
