Virtual Staging with AI - real life example walkthrough
Virtual staging isn’t just a trend anymore - it’s become an everyday tool that helps real estate professionals sell faster. At Deep-Image, we keep improving our Real Estate Designer 2.0, and now we’ve added two new AI models that bring photo-realistic staging to a whole new level.
Both models are trained on massive datasets of interior photos, so they understand proportions, light direction, and design style much better. The result? More realistic virtual furniture, coherent architecture, natural lighting, and interiors that simply look real.
Combined with our Prompt-Based Edit tool, they give you full creative control over how a room looks - from decluttering and lighting correction to total restyling.
We'll show you how to get results as great as this example:
How AI Virtual Staging Works – Step by Step
So we have an old-fashioned living room, dark furniture, heavy fabrics, that “retro” vibe. That’s our starting point.

Step 1 - Decluttering with AI
The first step is AI decluttering – removing all furniture and objects from the photo. The Qwen model analyzes the geometry of the room and fills in missing areas like walls, flooring, and shadows, creating a clean, empty interior that looks totally natural.

Step 2 - Light and Tone Adjustment
Next comes AI relight & tone correction. The Nano Banana model balances the light, removes color casts, and gives the room neutral daylight tones. This step is essential so the virtual furniture won’t look “pasted in.”

Step 3 – AI Redecorate (Virtual Staging)
Now the fun part. The user types a short prompt like “modern Scandinavian living room, soft tones, natural wood, plants, sunlight” in plain text using Prompt-Based Edit or the Real Estatte Designer, and the AI instantly redesigns the space – adding a sofa, rug, wall art, lamps, and decorations in a consistent style.
In the sample images you can see different outputs – a clean living room, a cozy bedroom, and a version with an accent wall. Each one looks like a real photo, not a render.

Why It Matters
With deep-image.ai's innovative approach AI virtual staging is now faster, cleaner, and way more consistent. No more weird textures, unrealistic shadows, or removed walls. You get professional, high-fidelity results in just a few minutes - without Photoshop or 3D software.
This is a real game-changer for real estate agents, investors, and flippers. AI virtual staging allows you to redecorate, restyle, or even change the entire furniture layout with just one click. It’s ideal for showing a property’s potential before renovation or helping buyers visualize how it could look furnished.
In Short
The updated models push virtual home staging to a new standard of realism. All you need is one photo and a short description – the AI takes care of the rest.
You can start with Real Estate Designer 2.0 for quick, automated results or jump into Prompt-Based Edit if you want total creative control over the design style, layout, or atmosphere.
All it takes is a photo and your imagination - AI handles the rest.
