How do credits work?

When you purchase a subscription, you receive a monthly budget of credits. Each standard image costs 1 credit, regardless of how many enhancements are applied. You can use all your credits while your subscription remains active. For advanced image generation, you can select ChatGPT Image (Medium) or ChatGPT Image (High) powered by OpenAI's cutting-edge image models. ChatGPT Image (Medium) requires 2 credits per image. ChatGPT Image (High) requires 5 credits per image. These models deliver higher levels of realism, detail, and composition, made possible by significantly more computational power under the hood. Remember: If you cancel your membership you will lose your remaining credits.

Who owns the copyright to enhanced and generated images?

You are the only owner of your work and hold all the copyright. Please keep in mind that this brings all the benefits but also all the responsibilities. Use our tool responsibly and make sure you have all the permissions before using third-party images.

Can I get something for recommending Deep Image to my friends?

Yes. After you log into your account, go to the My Profile page. You will find a button that generates a unique referral code for you. If you share this code with someone, both of you will get 50% extra credits on your next purchase. For example, if your friend purchases 100 credits using your code, they will get 150 credits altogether, and you will get 50 extra credits. Each customer can use the code only once, but you can give it out to an unlimited number of people. For more information, visit the My Profile page.

How can I make the payment in different currencies such as USD, EUR, GBP, PLN?

To change the currency on the pricing page, use the menu at the top of the page: in the top right corner you can select one of the following currencies: US Dollar, Euro, British Pound and Polish Zloty.

How can I cancel the subscription?

Any subscription can be cancelled anytime with just one click in your profile.

Do my credits have an expiration date?

Depending on the type of plan you have, your credits may expire. For example, if you have a subscription plan, the credits expire after its cancellation. The credits from Pay as you Go have no expiration date, but are a bit more expensive.

What payment methods are accepted?

Deep-Image.ai uses Stripe as our main payment method. With it you can pay with your credit card or PayPal. If you are looking for an alternative payment method, please contact us.

How much does one image processing cost?

In deep-image.ai, you receive credits based on your subscription plan. For standard processing, 1 credit allows you to enhance one image, even if you apply multiple actions at once (e.g. upscale, denoise, and background removal). As long as you select all enhancements before clicking “Enhance”, it still costs only 1 credit. The cost per credit depends on your chosen subscription, and can be as low as $0.04.

Advanced generation with ChatGPT Image

If you choose to generate images using ChatGPT Image (Medium) or ChatGPT Image (High) models, the credit cost is higher due to the advanced AI capabilities and significant computational requirements: ChatGPT Image (Medium): 2 credits per image. ChatGPT Image (High): 5 credits per image. These options are ideal for users looking for exceptional detail, composition, and overall visual quality.

Which plans include API connection?

All plans come with API connection included, and every single feature available via the website is also available through our API.

I am switching from remove.bg. What does background removal cost?

Background removal is one credit per image at full resolution, from $0.03 on the 30,000-credit subscription, and removing the background and upscaling in the same request still costs one credit. See the remove.bg alternative comparison and the API migration guide.

How can I upgrade or downgrade?

You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time, directly in your profile while signed in.

I would like to try image upscaling and other features from Deep-Image.ai. How do I start?

You can start by signing up with your email address and making a free account. Once logged in, you will receive 5 free credits, which you can use to test some features, such as the Upscaler, image enhancer, background removal etc. If you are happy with the results, you can purchase some credits and start enhancing images without a watermark. If you are not sure how to perform a certain action, you can always reach out to our support team, or read about various features in our blog section.

Do I need a credit card to use Deep-Image.ai?

No, you don’t need a credit card. You can create an account and freely test the service without it. Once you are happy with the results, you can add a payment method, which can be a credit card, but also PayPal.

What if I reach the limits of my plan?

If you use up all the credits from your monthly plan, you can purchase more credits at an attractive price depending on the plan tier. Open the pricing page and pick the amount of extra credits you need.

How long are images stored in my gallery?

Your images are stored for 40 days and deleted afterwards. Please download your images after processing. To keep our pricing as low as possible, we can’t keep such large amounts of images in server storage. We highly recommend always downloading your images as soon as they are done.

How does your customer support work? Do I have to pay extra?

No, customer support is for everyone and it’s available 5 days a week, 8am to 4pm CET, through our contact form.

I need more credits than what you show on your plans, what can I do?
